Partner study description
Xin-zhuan Su and colleagues provided samples from their field site in Pursat province, Cambodia at an early stage in the MalariaGEN P. falciparum Community Project. These samples were contributed to support the development of our sequencing and analysis pipelines, and to provide geographical representation of parasites from Cambodia for preliminary analysis of global population structure. For the analyses, the parasites were culture adapted and analysed for genome-wide scans for positive selection, recombination hot spots and resistance to antimalarial drugs.
