About
Organisms
Large-scale genetic and genomic data on all three malaria genomes: human, parasite, and mosquito.
Parasite
We’re investigating genetic variation in the
Plasmodium
parasites that cause malaria, in order to answer crucial questions about malaria transmission and drug resistance.
Human
We've studied the human genome to better understand the genetic factors that help people to resist severe malaria – information that could provide vital clues about the molecular mechanisms of immunity and accelerate the development of an effective vaccine
Mosquito
The Vector Observatory is a global collaboration creating an open access resource of genomic data from surveillance of
Anopheles
mosquitoes. We focus on those species that act as human malaria vectors
